I live in massachusetts where the summers are not real hot however this past one was dry and very warm,I p;anted five foot dark american arborvitae four feet apart in the spring of 2009 and for the most part are doing well, they have grown to be seven to eight feet in hight they prodused buds but some of the trees buds turned brown and will fall off whrn touched can you tell me what you think has happend.
