QuestionI have a white rose of sharon about 16 years of age..we live in Boston Massachusettts...........I would like to replant this tree because it is shading too much of my vegetable garden. I don't want to lose her.......when is the best time in my region to think about replanting her......and how is the best way to approach this..................another problem is the tree limbs have grown through a picket fence .....so I have to remove that section of fence in order to safely re-root in another section of our yard. help
AnswerHello Susan
Although you tell me the age of your Rose of Sharon, you don't mention how big it is. You see, the bigger it is the more difficult it will be to dig up and replant. So can you let me know how tall and how wide it is (the width is possibly more important than the height).
