QuestionA few of my korean boxwoods have yellowing leaves. I fertilized them with evergreen fertilizer. I put my coffee grounds on my evergreens all winter. Is that a good idea?
AnswerHello Phoebe
This could be just a case of winter scorch from cold winds. I suggest that you wait until the weather warms up to see if the plants continue to grow well. If they don't, there could be a more serious problem, which will need to be addressed - let me know if this is the case.
Coffee grounds can be used as a very mild fertilizer, so it shouldn't have done the plants any harm.
