QuestionI have two hydranga plants and they did not flower last year and again this year I do not have any flowers on my plants. Can you tell me what I need to do to make them bloom. I have had the plants for 3 years and the the first year I had beautiful flowers but none since. Thank you, Valene
AnswerValene,
I would recommend no tpruning the plants for a few years. The most common cause of no flowers on Hydrangeas is pruning at the wrong time. These plants should generally be pruned in late August, since most flower on old wood. If you prune them in the fall or spring, you will remove the flower buds for the next season.
Good luck,
