QuestionWe have 2 lilly pilly shrubs about 2metres high in semi-shade that we would like to transplant to a full sun position. We have sandy coastal soil. How can we make sure that the plants survive the transplant. Also they do have raised lumps on their leaves - what could that be? Your help would be appreciated.
AnswerShirley,
The raised bumps on the leaves are an insect called psyllids. There are several insecticides that you can buy to control these pests.
As for moving the plant, I would recommend using a hydrogel product to ensure that there is available water for the new roots when they expand.
Good luck,
