QuestionI have approximately 20 arborvitae bushes that are approximately 15 feet tall which must be moved approximately 3 to 4 feet to get them off my neighbors property line. Can you please advise me of the best ways to move them that would give them the best chance to survive.
AnswerThomas,
The two pieces of advice I could give you is:
1- If you want to do it yourself, dig the root balls as large as possible and use a root stimulator along with copious amounts of water if you are moving them now. Use Plant Health Care's Bio-Pak plus to help rejuvenate the roots.
2- Hire a tree company with a tree spade to move them for you. This will put the onus of their health on them.
Good luck,
