QuestionI've had my lemon tree for a year now. It's in a pot on the back porch and gets tons of sunlight and is doing very well. Is it allright that it's been in the same soil for a year? When should I change the soil? I'm assuming I should not do that when it's bearing fruit!? Also, the leaves are not the same really dark green color it was a year ago. I fertilize with an organic citrus fertilizer monthly. Should I be adding something else? I don't want to use anything that's toxic (either to the plant or to humans).
Thank you!
AnswerRoani,
If it is not too hard, I would recommend repotting the tree to a bigger pot, or at least re-energizing the soil with liquid compost and micronutrients. You should be able to find these at your local garden center.
Good luck,
