Questioni just bought two leland cyrpress trees and one of them has some dead spots on it and the grower said it was because it blew over into some water for a day but will come back. i am watering them everyday for atleast 10 mins or so with the hose at the bottom of the base. i planted similar trees last year in the same spot and all eleven died. aside from feeding them with the granular feed which i did yesterday, is there something else i can do to encourage them to grow healthy? am i watering enough? thank you
AnswerDawn,
Depending on the soil texture, you may need to water more. If the soil is clay like- maintain your current watering. If it is sandy, I would recommend watering longer but skipping a day between waterings.
Besides the feeding and a good watering schedule, there is nothing more that you can do.
Good luck,
