QuestionTHE FRUIT ON MY LEMON TREE LOOKS AND FEELS DRY, THE INSIDE IS FINE, BUT THE SKIN LOOKS ROUGH AND DRY, NOT SHINY AND WAXY. THE TREE WAS HERE WHEN WE MOVED IN 3 YEARS AGO, AND NOT DOING WELL, BUT WE HAVE WATERED AND FED IT, BUT THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR SINCE WE HAVE BEEN HERE THAT I NOTICE THE FRUIT LOOKING LIKE THIS. HOPE YOU CAN HELP, THANKS IN ADVANCE, CHRIS p.s. I LIVE IN SO CALIFORNIA
AnswerChris,
I am afraid that I know little about growing lemons. I found this website- http://www.flower-and-garden-tips.com/growing-lemon-trees.html when I was doing research for your question. I hope it helps you.
There could be a nutrient deficiency in the soil causing this to happen. I would recommend taking a sample down to your local cooperative extension service or university.
Good luck,
