QuestionMy parents have had china boy and china girl Holies for several years. In the last few years they have begun to die. They are turning yellow and losing many leaves, leaving some branches completely bare. Even the bushes that have been replaced are doing the same thing. We live in Owensboro, Ky. Dad has been having Scott's Lawn care treat them, but to no prevail. Please help.
AnswerScott,
If the problem is effecting the newer plants, then I would have to say that there is a problem with the soils. Has Scotts done a soil test? Chances are they haven't. I would recommend having a soil profile done on the area to determine what soil related exist. One of the best companies for this type of work is Bartlett Tree Experts. I would recommend that you call them and have them take over from Scotts.
Good luck,
