QuestionI had several 10'tall yew trees transplanted into my south central Pennsylvania yard the 1st week of April. We have had weekly rain since they were transplanted. All the branches are turning yellow on the inside. Some have brown tips on the lower branches. What can I do to save the trees?
AnswerEdna,
They sound like they are going into transplant shock. I would recommend putting down some organic fertilizer to help strengthen the plants. The yellowing of the inner needles are a sign of stress. Continue to water them well during the season and they should be fine.
Good luck,
