QuestionOr should I say re-freeze? Well, I live in Georgia and this spring did my prunning when the temerature got up to about 70. After prunning the crepes started to grow very well. Low and behold we got a late spring freeze. All the crepe myrtles look dead! Not just mine, everyone I have seen in Bartow and Cobb County. Can (or should I) prune these again? Do you think all these are really dead?
AnswerRich,
I would recommend thatyou fertilize all the Crepes to stimulate new growth. Hold off on any pruning until after they have reestablished their leaves, at which point you should only concentrate on dead branches and tips.
Good luck,
