QuestionWhat is the fastest growing, least expensive, lowest maintenance plant that would provide the greatest privacy? I would like to line half my property with somewhat of a variety of bushes and plants- some green, some flowering - in order to create more privacy. I live on a Main street, and would like to keep every car that passes from seeing directly into my windows.
What are your suggestions and what are the approximate prices? I need enough to cover half the perimeter of 14,000 square feet.
I live in Mankato, MN. Thanks.
AnswerMarty,
I would recommend planting a combination of Honeysuckle, American Holly and upright Junipers. You could also look at Privet and Cedars.
As for the pricing, I do not know the pricing for the nurseries in your area, so I would not even want to venture a guess.
Good luck,
