QuestionI planted few different evergreen shrubs too close to each other few years ago. Now it seems that they are not growing propertly since they are very close to each other. Ho can I move a plant from once location to other. for example I will move the middle plant from 3 evergreen shrub to different location. Is it possible after 4 years. Please advice with some important tips.
AnswerDanny,
It is possible to replant them into another location.
You will need to do while the weather is still cool and there is adequate rainfall.
When you dig out the plant, try to make the root ball as large as you can manage. These roots are going to be very important if the plants are to survive. Dig the new hole twice the size of the root ball to allow for easy root development. Mix some Plant Health Care Tree Saver in with the back fill to help establish a better root system and keep it well watered.
Good luck,
