QuestionI live in the San Gabriel foothills of Southern California (east of Los Angeles). About 2 years ago, I planted a row of Leyland Cypress down the slope of our yard's south-facing side.
The two at the base of the slope are growing very slowly. The others are growing at the normal rate.
However, in the last two weeks, the two slow-growers at the base and two almost at the top of the slope have begun turning yellow.
Are they dying? What can I do?
AnswerJim,
There are many conditions that would cause this type of problem, so to fully diagnose the problem, I would recommend that you contact an arborist in your area and have them visually inspect the plants. I would recommend checking the ISA website for certified arborists in your area.
