QuestionHi Ed
I wrote you a couple of days ago but dont think my mail got through./ I live in Northern Illinois. When is the best time to replant bushes, small trees, etc. in the fall----------While they are still leafed out or after the leaves have fallen ?
Thanks in advance for the Info.

AnswerBill,
It doesn't matter if the leaves are still on the plant or not. Cool weather will help the plants reestablish a root system before the ground freezes. Put down some granular fertilizer when transplanting and mulch the root systems well (2-3 inches of mulch).
Good luck.
