QuestionHello
I have the Jasmine in a large pot at the rear of my house - I live 200m from the cliff tops just east of Brighton - the shrub is sheltered from salt winds - it faces east so loses direct sunlight at 2.00pm - the shrub has never flowered but groes profusely - it is 3 years old
How can I make it flower ?
Thanks

AnswerJohn,
Jasmine is a tropical plant and is sensitive to temperatures. They prefer full sun throughout the day and well drained organic soils.
To get this plant to flower, I feel that you will need to cut back on the plant drastically to force flowering. Use a low nitrogen fertilizer and mix some compost into the pot.
Good luck.
