QuestionWhat is the best time of the year to move azaelea bushes. We have some that are totally in the shade when the blooms show up and they don't last very long. They are out less than a week and just turn to slime against the leaves.
We thought we'd move them to a sunnier part of the yard but was wondering what time of the year would be best.
AnswerClaudette,
Early spring or mid fall are the best times to move any plant. In the meantime, I would recommend that you think about thinning out the trees over the Azaleas to allow more sunlight in and to reduce the watering in that area.
Good luck.
