Question
I would like to dig up the red tip shrubs close to my house; how can I make sure that the roots are dead or gone so that they will not grow back?
Is there a product that I can spray on the root or something?

Ruthie,
The best product that I can recommend is Round-up.
This nonselective herbicide will kill off everything down to the fine roots, and will ensure that they do not grow back.
When you treat the plants, make sure to fully coat the leaves to the point of run off.
