QuestionI have a pine tree, I don't know exactly the name of the tree. It became rusted after a year. Do you know why and how to cure it?
Many thanks!
AnswerGinger,
I am not sure what you mean by "rusted". If you are talking about pine gall rust- a disease that attacks many hard needled pines such as black and austrian, or that the entire tree turned rust brown- which could mean that it is dead.
Pine gall rust can be controled with fungicide applications and pruning.
The other conditon would require replacing the plant with a new one.
If you can give me more details, I am sure that I could narrow it down.
Thanks,
