QuestionEdward,
I recently planted Leland Cypress trees in December 2005 which are approximately 5-6 feet tall, and would like to keep them pruned so they grow no wider than 6 feet. I understand this can be done, but I wanted to make sure from an expert.
I am located in Alpharetta, Georgia(approximately 20 miles north of Atlanta)
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Larry
AnswerLarry,
It is possible to shear them back once they reach the desired height and width, but, this will eventaully led to reduced growth and possible problems. I would recommend that you selectively cut back the branches to retain the natural form of the plant.
If you have any other questions, let me know.
