QuestionI am looking for an orange flowered shrub. I live in New Jersey and bought one several years ago. The gentleman told me it was a witches broom. I lost it during transplanting and can not find the true name to replace it. Bright orange flowers that lasted all summer starting early spring. It reminded you of a broom upside down with tall straight branches coming from the base.
Hope you can help. Thank you
AnswerJoanne,
The only plant that I can think of that fits that description would be Cytisus scoparius var. 'hookstone' or the Hookstone Scotch Broom. This plant has orange flowers and is normally very hardy. I would recommend checking on line or in your local garden centers for this plant.
thanks for the question.
