QuestionI'd like to transplant a six year old blueberry bush which is crowding a rose bush. We live in Massachusetts (zone 5), can I transplant now? Or wait until the fall? Any transplant tips?
I also need to move an aggressive amsonia. Same question, now or wait till the fall?
AnswerHi Karen
wait until the fall, cut it back and then move it.
that will give you time to prep the new site.
Remember when moving anything the hole must be twice as big as the rootball, and its a good idea to plant it with some native soil from the old site. your amsonia can be moved now. good Luck Larry ;-)
