Blueberry: Wait Until Fall

• Prune back hard, then transplant after leaf drop.
• Prep new site now (acidic soil, peat, sulfur if needed).
• Hole 2× root ball; mix in native soil from old site.

Amsonia: Move Now (Spring)

• Perennial — divides and transplants easily in active growth.
• Water well after moving.

Key Difference

Woody shrubs (blueberry) need dormancy; herbaceous perennials (amsonia) move anytime with care.
