QuestionWhen is the best time/way to move a viburnum (leatherleaf, I believe) and a hydrangea (not sure which kind)? Both are well established plants but need to be moved b/c we are building a deck. Can the hydrangea tolerate morning sun and afternoon shade? Thank you.
Answerhello Allison
both can be moved the viburnum will like the light conditions mentioned but the hydrangia will require a little more sun. when moving make sure you have a good rootball. circle the dripline and dig around the shrub and under it then lift it out. replant using a little of the soil from the site taken. water throughly. Good Luck Larry ;-)
