QuestionI planted two Magnolia Alejandria plants in March (I live in GA), and they were doing fine until recently one of them started looking puney and the leaves are droopy and fall off if you barely touch them. The only thing I have done differently is that I used a pellet-type bug killer that you sprinkle around the base of the plant and then water it but the other Magnolia is fine so I don't know that that is the problem. Help before it dies! Oh, I fertilized it with Miracle Gro today to see if that will help it.
AnswerUnfortunatly I know nothing about this plant, as it does not grow in Minnesota. I would say you should check with your local extension agency, they may know more. You could also check at a good nursery, especially if they have an on staff horticulturist, they are the ones to ask on this one.
good luck, sorry I cannot help more.
