QuestionHi,
About 3 years ago I removed a Euonomous that had white scaly stuff all over the branches and leaves. I planted another Euonomous and it also became infected, so I removed that shrub. How do I prevent this from happening again?
I also had a holly that lost most of its leaves. The branches were covered with a black film that looked like dirt. I also removed that shrub. Again, what should I do to prepare the area?
Thanks,
Cheryl
Answerhi Cheryl
it sounds like you have fungus problem, most of the time this is caused by poor soil drainage or a lack of good air flow. Do a drainage test on your soil and make sure your shrubs have air blowing through them to dispurse the moisture buildup. you may need to amend the soil and prune your shrubs to correct the problem. Good Luck Larry ;-)
