QuestionHi Larry,
Thank you in advance for taking my question. It's very generous of you to do this.
I live in a condo unit in northern Massachusetts with windows that look out onto a drab, 6 foot high cement retaining wall. There's no earth available at the bottom of the wall, but there is at the top. I'd like to plant something up there that will hang down over the wall, hopefully covering it one day. The wall does not get much direct sunlight. I would prefer something that would retain some green all year round, tho' maybe that's too much to ask. Secondarily, something flowering would be nice.I suppose it would also be proper to avoid anything that could weaken the wall. Finally, it should also be able to survive harsh winters.
I know, it's a tall order! Any ideas?
Thanks so much,
David
AnswerHi David
I am thinking about maybe some ivy but even that needs sun
how about artificial plants stuck to the wall, no maintenance needed except to replace them when they discolor. Sorry about your location but that situation
is negitive for organic growth. Larry ;-)
