What kind of shrub is this and what are its' qualities? Where is it best utilized in the landscape?  Is it hardy enough for South Jersey?

this is an evergreen shrub that prefers full sun, is lime tolerant and will grow in neutral to alkaline soil, the summer flowereing ones like it more acid. in jersey you might want to use it as a container plant, as they can be frost tender. it is used as ground cover or as accent plants along walkways and beds.  Good Luck  Larry  ;-)
