hi..i am wondering in a case that a tree stump has died because you put stump killer on it, do the roots under it also die off? thank you!!

Answer
Yes most of the herbicides used to kill stumps will move down into the roots killing the root system. Depending on the size of the root system you could get some sprouting from a distant root and if so just treat the new foliage with Roundup and it will take care of it. Generally this dose not happen.
