leyland cyprus trees have small half inch green balls on branches

Question
I have about 60 Leyland Cyprus trees which are 10 years old.  I had a run-in with bagworms which I am still trying to overcome but I am noticing many branches with approximately half-inch round green balls appearing.  I cut into some of the balls and there are 4-5 or maybe 6 small black dots inside the ball (I am not sure what they are) and wanted to get your expertise/opinion.

Appreciate your assistance!

Answer
Sounds like the cones of Leyland cypress. These are conifers which means they are cone bearing. Inside is the seeds. See the following pictures, http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&biw=1175&bih=599&site=webhp&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=l
This is all normal.
