Planting Emerald Cedar in Front Yard

Question

Emerald Cedar
I recently planted two Emerald Cedar trees (and a Dwarf Alberta Spruce) about 2 1/2 feet from the front of our house - see the attached photo.  A friend told us that we should dig them out because they would damage the house - including the foundation.

Can you please advise.

Thank you

Answer
Emerald cedar grow about 3-4 feet wide meaning they will extend about 2 feet from the trunk. And Dwarf Alberta spruce is also about the same width. These trees can be pruned to keep them in the shape that they will not be a problem with growing out into the house side. They will not be a problem with the foundation. These tow are choices for foundation plantings. IF they get too large prune they back.
