Question
1. can you type a persimmon tree by its seed? I was given some persimmons and they are different. the pulp and seeds are not the same. I was told that one was an oriental type.
2. how do you get rid of crepe myrtles? I cut mine down and had the stumps ground but shoots keep coming up.

Becky, Sorry I can't help you with your Persimon question but you can purchase the herbicide roundup or an off label brand that contains Glyphosate at any Garden Center or Hardware store. I would buy the concentrate and not the pre-mixed version. Cut the Crape Myrtle back to a stump and literally use a paint brush to apply the concentrate to the tops of every stump, this will kill anything! Crape Myrtle can be hard to kill so it is important to use straight concentrate. Good Luck!
