Question We have a pair, joined, of 50 ft.Pin Oak trees in front of the house. We can see a diffinent split at the bottom 3-4 ft. on each side. The one faceing the house, within 20 ft., is leaning towards the house. We have been told there is a great possibility it will eventualy fall, and it will land in the center of our Ranch house roof. What is the best way to remove this tree from it Twin, which is straighter standing. We hate to loose either of them, but our home even more so. Thank you, Barb
AnswerA picture would help a great deal to determine just where the trunks are joined and the split that you asked about. These can be cut OR you can install a cable brace between the two holding them together. IF you can attach a picture I maybe able to determine if a cable brace would work and also if needed how best to remove one on the forks. You can attach the picture to the question. Thanks!.
