QuestionPicked up a redwood burl for my daughter in California on vacation. It was doing great on our trip home until we left it in a HOT car. Now nothing is growing and it has a white mold on it. Did we kill it or is there still a chance?
Thank you
AnswerYes these are living organisms and if left in a hot car the temperature in the summer will cook them. Placing plants in a car and leaving the car shut up, the temperature will rise and destroy the plant in a short period of time. Temperatures inside the car can easily reach 130F + on hot days.
I would say you baked the burl. Sorry!
