How to treat tree and kill beetles which have burrowed into tree.

Answer
Spray the wound area with an insecticide called Merit or Onyx. OR you can apply an insecticide called Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub Insect control to the soil around the tree and the roots will carry the insecticide to the tree branches and trunk and kill the borers. Both methods will work.
