MY JAP MAPLE GOT TO COLD AND SOME OF IT'S LEAVES HAVE FALLING OFF WILL THEY GROW BACK THIS SEASON  I AM IN ZONE 5 AND IT IS A PEACHES AND CREAM  TY

If the twigs and branches that the leaves were on did not get killed by the cold the branches should leaf back out. All you can do is just wait and see. Water it during dry spells. Hardwood trees have the capacity to form new leaf buds if the old leaves were destroyed--this is especially true if the leaf loss was in the early spring. Now the foliage may not be as full as it would have been without the loss but the tree should recover.
