QuestionI SAW THE QUESTION PRIOR.I TOO LIVE IN GEORGIA..OUR WATER OAKS ARE ABOUT 70 YEARS OLD AND ABOUT 50 FOOT TALL. wILL THE BAYER TREATMENT WORK IN THE SAME MANNER OR WILL IT TAKE LONGER. tHANKS
AnswerYes it will. It takes longer for the roots to move the insecticide to the foliage and twigs if the tree is tall. But if applied in the spring when the tree is expanding its new leaves the process will be fairly fast. The new leaf budding and expansion causes upward pressure and draws sap toward the top of the tree. Should see some effects on the scales in a couple of weeks maybe three if you have normal rain fall and are not in a drought.
