QuestionHow do you kill oak underbrush so it does not come back? We have thin our fence line and prune but, every year we go through the same thing. Thanks for any suggestions.
AnswerAfter the under brush has leafed out this spring spray the foliage with a herbicide called Roundup. This will be absorbed by the leaves and taken to the roots and kill the brush. Beware that Roundup will kill any green plant so do not spray any plant not wanting to be killed. Spraying in the early spring will allow the herbicide to enter the leaf cells before they harden off. Check with your local garden type store for Roundup.
