QuestionWill my row of 20 Leyland Cypress trees straighten back up after being bent over to the ground by heavy snow. There is no sign of splitting or breaking along any of the trunks.
AnswerThey should recover on their own. Any branches that may have been broken should be pruned but the ones just bent over will recover by themselves. Any trunk that is leaning can be straightened with the use of cables and stakes. But removes the bracing after one year. The tops that are bent will recover but it may take a year to completely straighten depending on how much bend there was. Overall I would just let them grow.
