QuestionWe have a peach leaf oak tree that is heavily infested with gall. We are getting rid of this tree, I would like to replace it with a spreading oak tree. Will it get gall also? Thank you. Joy
AnswerMore than likely not- insects are the most part species related insects that will attack one tree will not bother another. Insect galls really do not harm the health of a tree so IF they were to attack the new oak they would not do much damage. But I would not expect there to be a problem.
