QuestionHi Jim,
I have a five year old crabapple tree that has always produced beautiful pink flowers...this year, nothing. I did prune it, as always right before spring and it looks healthy and it has definitely grown, spread out this year....but no flowers....any answers?? thanks mary
AnswerFlowering trees should be pruned after they flower. If you prune before they flower you have a tendency to cut off the flower buds thus reducing the flowers. Also weather has a lot to do with the amount of flowers. If the foliage is healthy looking you should have flower next year.
