Norfolk Pines

Question
I have several Norfolk pines (growing under very tall oak trees), which were doing beautifully until being exposed to the several frosts we had in Tampa, FL.  Now most of the branches are orange-brown in color.  There are still green needles around the trunk, and some green around the base of some of the branches.  Should I prune off the dead parts (which would be practically the whole tree) or just leave them alone and hope they come back.  I do feed them every month and water them regularly.  I hate to loose them.

Answer
I would leave them be, They are more than likely not dead but the needles are just damaged. The buds for new needles are near the ends of the branches and if cut back you lessen the chance of new foliage. The old dead needles will drop by themselves and new ones should grow. I would expect that the tree will be ok. Frost rarely kills trees but can stunt the growth.
