QuestionCan you recommend a weeping tree for a yard in Florida? (no lake or pond on land)
AnswerWeeping Willow is a beautiful, graceful tree when placed out in the open with adequate water and lots of room to grow. At maturity it has a Height: 30 to 40 feet and a Spread: 30 to 40 feet.
Its extensive leaf and twig drop, shallow root system, and weak wood limit its usefulness in the home landscape. The root system will invade septic lines if planted near them. It is for a yard that is large and will do much better near a water supply. I would not recommend this tree for the average yard. Sorry.
