QuestionI am the director of a small museum in the Pacific NW. I want to plant a tree that would be appropriate for the area, and easy to maintain. I would like the tree to be relatively small, perhaps 25 to 30 ft tall, but columnar, not too bushy.
This will be at the edge of a parking lot and used to diffuse several unsightly buildings. Other old variety trees opposite are plum trees. What variety would be a good idea for this area? We would like to plant three of them in a row.
AnswerWithout knowing the site the tree will be planted in or the climate there it would be difficult to recommend a tree species. tree species will grow best where they are native. I would suggest you go to a tree nursery locally and ask them what tree would be best for your location and needs.
