Temps go from below zero up to over 100.F Also my soil is rocky with gravel very little loom. I know that some plants dont like the heat we get in the summer and it can get dry. I have to water annuals every day. Some of the perrenials(smaller flowers not the shrubs need watering every day in summer also.So I would like to have Ideas on what can take the heat. Also what is the best pest management(insects) to get the most longevity out of my trees. I would like to start by planting apple, peach ,pear and cherry.I have a large peice of property. Do you have to plant atleast 2 of each so they can pollinate? Any books you could recomend to help? I will not plant until I have better knowledge. Thanks for your time. AnswerI would suggest you contact the New Hampshire Extension Service and ask for their agent for Fruit trees. Their local number should be in your phone book. Here is a link to their contact web page. http://extension.unh.edu/Counties/Counties.htm
