Questioni am building a house in north Carolina in the zone 8 section, and i wanted to plant paper birch, Betula papyrifera, trees.
i was curious to know if they will survive or not?
Answerpaper birch will have problems with temperatures above 75 but it does grow in the mountains of western NC. I would recommend that if you want a birch use river birch Betula nigra instead. OR you could try the paper birch but be aware that these may not make it there.
