QuestionHello! I reside in Central North Dakota. We recently purchased a home with 2 very large and severely overgrown junipers in the front and 1 on the side.( All are within 2 feet of the foundation.) The trees are taller than our home and while I would love to be able to prune them back to their proper shape, my husband insists we remove them. Is there anyway to trim them back or are we better off just reoving them? Either way...some direction on the best methods to perform the task would be appreciated.
AnswerThese trees are too large for this space, I seldom recommend removing trees but I would replace these. IF you are not skilled at using a Chainsaw and cutting down trees I would get someone to cut it for you. You will also need to either dig up the stump and root or grind the stump. I would lean toward grinding the stump.
