QuestionWhat is the proper amount of water for a Youngi? I know it needs well-drained soil.
AnswerThe proper amount of water is 1 inch of water per week. The easiest way to do this is place a pan under the tree when you water and turn the sprinkler on--when the pan has 1 inch of water in it stop. I would mulch around the tree with not more than 3 inches of mulch making sure the mulch is not plied up on the tree trunk. This will help hold the moisture. Too much water is as bad as too little.
