I have a large tree next to my deck at a mobile home park..the roots are pulling up my deck and will soon destroy it..and of course the roots are in my pipes and need constant attention..how can I kill this tree?

There are several herbicides that will kill the tree. I would not kill it without first cutting it down. A dead standing tree will fall on the deck and house. Have it cut and then spray the stump with a herbicide called Roundup. The stump will transport the Roundup to the root system and this will kill the roots. IF the tree can not be cut unless it is dead then you can make cuts into the wood all around the ground level of the trunk and spray Roundup into the cuts this will kill the tree BUT after it dies do not wait too long to cut it or the limbs will start to fall on the deck. A word of warning with roundup it will kill any green plant the spray gets on so do not spray any plant not wanting to be killed. Roundup can be found at any nursery/ garden type store.
