is it true that you can take a branch from a weeping willow stick in the ground and it will take root and grow i live in upstate ny this is what i,m trying to do . thanks

If it is done in the spring and the soil is kept damp this will work. This method is done along streams with good success. I would try putting sand in a bucket and putting the cuttings in the sand and keeping the sand from drying out. Then when the cutting leaf out transplant them in the ground. Use the small branches  for the cuttings.
